How the army aft scoring chart works
The army aft scoring chart is five events, 0-100 points each, 500 maximum. Source: HQDA EXORD 218-25 Annex B, effective 1 June 2025. The general pass is 60 on every event. Soldiers in 21 combat specialties also need a 350 total, scored on the male (sex-neutral) tables. Toggle Combat MOS to load those tables even if you selected Female.
Treat this page as an aft calculator, not a static PDF. Type sex, age, and the five raw scores. The result panel returns event points, a /500 total, a letter grade (AA, AC, A, B, C, or D), and whether you meet the official pass line. Combat MOS scoring is a checkbox: it loads the male tables and adds the 350 total. Body composition is not on this form; use the body fat tool for WHtR.
Events in order of a typical test lane: 3-repetition maximum deadlift (MDL, pounds), hand-release push-ups in two minutes (HRP, reps), sprint-drag-carry (SDC, time, faster is better), plank (time, same male and female row inside each age group), two-mile run (time, faster is better). The standing power throw is not on this chart. It belonged to the retired ACFT.
Official Army scoring does not publish AA, AC, A, B, C, or D. Those letters are a site helper mapped to the published bars, not Army policy. Pass or fail still follows HQDA EXORD 218-25: 60 on every event, plus 350 total if Combat MOS is checked. The next-bar line tells you which official total you still need: 350 combat / solid packet, 450 promotion-packet strength, 500 max.
Letter grades on this chart (site helper)
Pick your age group on the Army AFT Score Chart form and the matching table row highlights. The letter on the result panel is only a faster read of those official bars. Print or copy still lists the event points and the pass line so a scorer can check the raw math.
| Grade | Official read | This site maps it when |
|---|---|---|
| AA | Strong packet / excellent | Every event at least 60 and total 450-500 |
| AC | Combat MOS total | Every event at least 60 and total 350-449 |
| A | General pass | Every event at least 60 and total 300-349 |
| B | Near miss | One event under 60 |
| C | Multiple fails | Two events under 60 |
| D | Far from standard | Three or more events under 60 |
A male 17-21 Soldier at the default inputs (200 lb deadlift, 30 HRP, 2:10 SDC, 2:00 plank, 18:00 two-mile) scores 351. That is AC and a pass: all events over 60 and total over 350. Drop the deadlift to 80 lb and the letter becomes B, because one event is under 60 even if the other four still pass. Five events at exactly 60 is 300, grade A, a general pass and a combat MOS miss.
Worked example (male, 17-21, default inputs)
200 lb deadlift is 70 points. 30 hand-release push-ups is 73. A 2:10 sprint-drag-carry is 65. A 2:00 plank is 69. An 18:00 two-mile is 74. Total 351, grade AC, pass. Next bar: 450, 99 points still to find. The weakest event here is SDC. A faster drag-and-carry moves the total more than another 10 pounds on an already-passing deadlift.
Change the age dropdown. Your row on every table below highlights. That is the army fitness test score chart in practice: one age band at a time, not a wall of numbers with no pointer. Female 17-21 uses different MDL, HRP, SDC, and run rows. Plank stays the same inside the age group.

Army combat fitness test chart versus AFT
People still search army combat fitness test chart because that was the 2020-2025 test of record. The ACFT had six events and a 600-point scale. Event two was the standing power throw. On 1 June 2025 the Army Fitness Test dropped SPT and kept the other five events on a 500-point scale. A page that still asks for a 10-pound ball throw is scoring a retired test. This chart does not.
If you need the old ACFT URL and the "what replaced the APFT" explanation, use the Army ACFT calculator. If you need the homepage scorer plus waist-to-height on the same form, use the Army PT Calculator. This page stays on the chart: raw performance in, points and grade out, tables you can read without a PDF viewer.
Combat MOS scoring is the other information gap. 11, 12A/B, 13A/F, 18, and 19 series use male tables for every Soldier in those specialties, plus the 350 total. Checking the combat box is how you see that on this chart. Body composition is a separate screen (WHtR below 0.550) on the body fat calculator. It does not change AFT points.

AFT questions from search
What is the difference between the AFT and the ACFT?
The ACFT was six events to 600, including the standing power throw. On 1 June 2025 the AFT dropped SPT and scores five events to 500. This page scores the AFT.
What are the Army AFT standards 2026?
HQDA EXORD 218-25 Annex B (effective 1 June 2025): 60 points on every event to pass. Combat MOS (11, 12A/B, 13A/F, 18, 19 series) uses male tables and also needs 350 total. 500 is a max.
How do I read the Army AFT score chart by age?
Select sex and age. Each table is one row per age band. The 60 column is the pass raw score; 100 is max. Your age row highlights after you score. Plank times are the same for male and female in each band.
What score counts as a pass on the AFT?
Pass means 60 on every event. Combat MOS also needs 350 total. Letters AA through D on this page are a site helper, not Army policy.
